DIY Chest Rub

Good morning! I am just grabbing a quick cuppa and some lunch while Billy is having a little break from school work and I wanted to share with you a useful little DIY you can make this time of year to help with snuffly noses and support your breathing!

All you need is some solid coconut oil, a little glass pot, some hot water and some eucalyptus essential oil!

The little pots I use are 30ml and perfect size for carring in your bag or pocket!

Coconut oil can be bought from wholefood shops, supermarkets or online. Using a teaspoon (or the spoon handle if your pot is small) scoop the coconut oil into the glass pot. Pour a small amount of hot water into a bowl and put your little pot in it. You don't want the hot water to go over the top of your pot. Wait a few minutes and the coconut oil will melt into a liquid. Add a few drops of your eucalyptus essential oil into the melted coconut oil. I would add about 10 drops. Give it a stir. Put the lid back on an leave to set. You can put it in the fridge to speed up the setting.

Rub on your chest, on on your sinuses, obvously avoiding your eyes.
If the weather is hot you may find it melts, just pop it back in the fridge to set again.

Different oils you could add are lavender and geranium for the skin, tea tree for scratches, ylang ylang and lavender for a solid perfume or marjoram, rosemary and chamomile for tired muscles.
