Floral Water DIY

Here is how to make a skin-soothing floral water that you can use as a lush, all-natural facial tonic!

Floral water can be especially beneficial if you have sore dry and itchy skin. The soothing properties of these flower waters help calm the irritation and speed up the healing process. Super healing + super gentle!

FLORAL WATER RECIPE:
+ A handful of fragrant, fresh rose petals, plus additional handful for later
+ 2 tablespoons fresh lavender buds
+ A handful of fresh spearmint
+ 2 cups pure filtered water
+ 1/2 cup witch hazel or vodka (optional as a preserver)
+ 3 drop lavender essential oil
+ 3 drops rose essential oil

FLORAL WATER DIRECTIONS:
+Bring water to boil in a glass pan, remove from heat.
+Add the lavender, spearmint and one handful of rose petals and allow to sit for 30 minutes. This will make a simple water infusion of the fragrant plants.
+Filter out the plants and add the second handful of fresh rose petals.
+Pour in the vodka or witch hazel (has a slight odor) and shake to mix well.
+Allow to sit in the sun for another 30 minutes. Strain off the plants through a coffee filter or cheesecloth.
+Add essential oils and shake well. Pour into a glass bottle with a spray mister top. Shake well before each use.
