Scented Draw Sachets

The new year always makes me want to have a Spring clean and clear out of stuff that we accumulate throughout the year and going through our clothes and drawers is always first on my list.

This easy DIY is great to do with kids or while you binge watch your favourite show. You can either use some pre-made muslin bags or little fabric scraps that you have! They make lovely little gifts too!

They keep even our clothes and linens smelling fresh or cosy depending on the oils you use! Something comforting to tuck away and bring us a little happy every time we open our dresser or linen closet!

Here’s what you need for four sachets:
Small burlap bags or 6” squares of fabric scraps
180g uncooked rice
8 drops of your favorite essential oils
Twine if you're using fabric scraps

Put your rice into a bowl. Add your essential oils. Swirl it around. Add a quarter cup to each muslin bag, close it up and maybe put a few stitches in the top if needed, and you’re ready to go!

If you’re using fabric scraps, lay each square flat. Make a little pile of rice in the center of each square. Carefully pull the corners up to meet each other, and tie a piece of twine or ribbon around the middle to contain the rice and keep it from spilling.
