So what do you do with your Christmas cards?
I use them as gift tags for next yeas presents or as bits of card for shopping lists. Some really beautiful ones I keep meaning to put into a scrapbook that is full of my favourite Christmas pictures … although I’ve not updated it for a good few years! And I keep my mums as she paints one every year and the boys, who make us one at school!
But there is surely other lovely things that can be done … what do you do?
so I am on a bit of a roll stocking up my
little shop ... this time I want to show you my blue flower range
... I have been making these
badges,
magnets and
compact mirrors for years. I painted these flowers back in 2002 and they were made into cards straight away. I have re-done the cards thought, as
a pack of 8 notelets ... 2 of each design.
They are available in
my little shop ... along with some of my other goodies x
I decided
last week to make myself a timetable so that I could fit in all I want to do and make sure what needed to get done, gets done. I also decided that Sunday was going to be what it's meant to be ... a day of rest and doing what I want ... crafts for fun with no guilt that I should be working on something else.
So that's what this Sunday has been ... and as it has rained all day I spent the afternoon working on my
June's Craft Challenge item ... its nearly done ... sorry can't show you yet!
After tea I felt I needed a change so had a little play and made some cards ...
... and a few for Christmas too ... (well the weather's cold enough!)
so what have you been up to this afternoon?
I made some sweet cards this afternoon from the wool I collected on my walk on Sunday ...
... I am really pleased with them :)
They will soon be listed in my shop ... I hope you like them too :)
so over the last week I have had an open house Christmas sale and jewellery parties at my house ...
... this was my display ... a couple of friends had some of their goodies out on other tables ... but these were my bits ...
It went really well and I cleared a lot of stock ... it was also great fun having a shop in my house!! haha.
so I thought over the next few weeks I would show you some of the things I make :)
My business is called
Joy Cards, as Joy is my middle name ... I don't just make cards though, I also make a large amount of jewellery and some gifts. I had a gift shop for a while in Redruth, but keeping up with trade orders and being in the shop 6 days a week was too much. I was sad to say goodbye to the shop as it was a lovely little money-earner :)
This week I thought I would show you a few of my greetings cards ... they are all handmade and come packed with a matching cream envelope. They are blank inside and apart from a couple that specifically say Happy Birthday, they are great for any occasion ...
